Scary FairyTrail

Scary Fairy Trail

During October half term we will be running "Scary Fairy". Watch out for the hidden troll under the bridge. Keep your wits about you from start to finish.

Along the way, you will need to follow the clues, answer the questions and finally decipher the hidden message.

Please wear suitable footwear as the uneven ground and woodland walks can be very muddy at this time of the year.

Unfortunately the trail is unsuitable for wheelchairs & pushchairs at this time of year.

After completing the trail, treat yourself to a burger, hot dog, ice cream or luxury hot chocolate.

The estimated time for the full Scary Fairy Trail is 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Important stuff for grown-ups

Working together for a safe and relaxing visit to The River Severn Fairy Trail

  1. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The River Severn Fairy Trail is situated on a working farm with livestock in adjoining fields.

  2. You must stay on the trail and dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times. Please scoop any poop.

  3. The ground is uneven and there are cowpats, horse poo and sheep poo. Brambles, stinging nettles, tree roots, fallen branches and twigs are encountered on the trail.

  4. The fields have cattle water troughs and barbed wire and electric fences. There is a stream and pond in the fairy woods.

  5. The fairy trail is completed at your own risk. Ensure you have the proper footwear and adequate clothing before starting out. Check the weather forecast. The trail is unsuitable for wheel chairs and push chairs in the winter months or wet weather.

  6. Remember that you are responsible for the safety of yourself and others in your group while on the trail.

  7. Don’t forget to respect the privacy and property of others. Follow the Government’s guidance on staying safe outside your home. We advise bringing your own hand sanitiser.

  8. Do not allow your children to go ahead and separate from the group.

  9. Before you begin, agree on an emergency rendezvous point should someone become separated from your group.

  10. In the event of an accident while on the trail, do not attempt to move the casualty, please call the emergency services on 999, giving your location:

    Lime Kiln Farm,
    Hasfield,
    Gloucestershire,
    GL19 4JW.

  11. Place your litter in a bin or take it home with you.
    Have fun!
